How much will I be paid?

How much will I be paid?

In the event your claim is accepted for weekly payments we will calculate your Pre Injury Average Weekly Earnings, or PIAWE.

Simply, in most cases your earnings in the 12 month period prior to your injury will be averaged to a weekly figure. There are some components of your earnings that may not be considered in your PIAWE.

• 95% of this figure will be paid to you in the first 13 weeks of your claim
• 80% of this figure will be paid after the first 13 weeks of your 130 claim

If you are working but not earning your full salary from the hours you are undertaking during your return to work and recovery, you will be paid normally for the hours you work, and your weekly payment will be topped up to your PIAWE amount. This means that the 95% or 80% will only be applicable on the top up, you are entitled to 100% of what you earn from hours worked.
